Isabel's Honors Portfolio
Summer
During my "summer quarter", I went on a solo trip to my dad's home country Chile. I spent four weeks traveling from Santiago, Chile (capitol) to Linares, Chile (small town where my dad grew up). This was an unforgettable experience that I will cherish forever. My relationships with various family members and friends grew immensely, and I discovered a new part of my identity that I hope to continue nurturing.

This is me at the top of the "Sky Costanera"! It was a breathtaking view. But it was sad seeing all of the smog the city has on a daily bases :(
This is "El Museo de Memoria y Derechos Humanos" (Museum of Memory and Human Rights". Here, I learned more about the Chilean government's history. This included the Pinochet dictatorship (which my father lived through), and how it affected the Chilean people. It was a very necessary experience for me while traveling through my dads home country.

Here I have a couple of photos from the week I spent with my godparents (to the left). We went to their house on the coast and I was thankful to witness this beautiful scenery. This was the first time I truly got to know my godparents. I'm so grateful to know these amazing people. During the short time I spent with them, they not only made me appreciate my culture more, but we also created an unbreakable bond.
